Bringing Peruvian flavour to digital life — the making of El Alquimista’s new website.
Greenwich is one of London’s most stylish districts, and El Alquimista fits right in. Known for refined Peruvian cuisine, expertly plated dishes, and chefs with serious culinary pedigree, the restaurant needed an online presence that matched the standard of its kitchen.
Their previous website didn’t communicate the quality of the dining experience, so they partnered with Diablos Designs to rebuild it from the ground up.
Creating a Luxury Experience Through Design
We approached this project with the aim of delivering a website that felt as sophisticated as the venue itself. The hero banner features a custom 3D illustration of the restaurant exterior — a centrepiece that immediately sets the tone.
The design leans into soft animation, elegant colours, and a comfortable scroll layout. Each section flows into the next with minimal effort, giving visitors a calm, premium experience from the moment they land on the page.
Photography That Speaks for Itself
Peruvian food is colourful, vibrant, and full of character. We used strong visuals throughout the site to reflect this — showcasing dishes, the chefs, cocktails, and the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Every image was optimised for fast loading without compromising quality.
Built for Bookings
A restaurant website only works if customers can book easily. We created clear, quick-access booking buttons that follow the user naturally as they explore the page.
